Congratulations to Michelle Fidelia ’14! The @ncstatechass alumna was recently crowned Ms. Black North Carolina 2024 and will be heading to the national pageant in August to compete for the Ms. Black USA title. 👑
“I want to demonstrate to single working moms that we are more than what the world perceives us to be. We are resilient and motivated to provide the best for our children. This pageant has empowered me, not only as the founder of my nonprofit, Sisters United, but also by giving me the confidence to pursue my dreams.”

“Deciding which university to attend was one of the hardest decisions of my life, but going to NC State was the best decision I ever made. I met some of my best friends and made connections that will last a lifetime.
I’m so grateful for all of the opportunities I’ve been able to experience during my time at State - from several corporate internships at places such as SpaceX, to taking part of several fellowships, and programs including NC State Entrepreneurship and growing my drone company, Airmage. I’ve got one word to epitomize this class of 2024 — perseverance. We’ve overcome a global pandemic. If there’s any group of people who can overcome any adversity, any obstacle, it’s our class.”
