2024 Wolfpack Wrapped
A look back at 2024 highlights
March: Day of Giving
On Day of Giving, alumni and friends came together to set a new record, with 21,000 gifts contributing an incredible $46 million to support NC State.
Throughout the Year: WolfTreks Travel
WolfTreks Travel saw the most travelers in the history of the program in 2024. We traveled to all seven continents—with travelers who saw penguins in Antarctica, humpback whales in Alaska, lions and leopards in Africa, howler monkeys in Costa Rica, kangaroos in Australia and wolves in Yellowstone. They visited the Great Pyramids in Egypt, Machu Picchu in Peru, the Guggenheim in Spain, the American Cemetery in Normandy, the Venetian canals of Italy, the windmills of Holland, the ancient city of Ephesus in Turkey, the Parthenon in Greece and countless national parks in the U.S. So many great adventures await in 2025.
March: March Madness
In March, the NC State men’s and women’s basketball teams pulled off a rare feat: They both advanced to the NCAA Tournament’s Final Four. Men’s basketball also won an incredible five games in five days to win the ACC Tournament.
Throughout the Year: Celebrating Transformation
After more than 14 years as NC State’s chancellor, Randy Woodson announced his intention to retire. Throughout the year, we honored our chancellor’s legacy of leadership and service through Celebrating Transformation with opportunities for alumni to thank the chancellor and make a gift. Events also took place across the country from San Francisco to New York.
May: Golden Grads Forever Club Reunion
The Golden Grads Forever Club reunited this past May for their annual reunion. Events featured a Belltower tour, classes without quizzes, a reception and more.
August: Legacy Luncheon
In August, we celebrated our legacy students and their families at the Legacy Luncheon, honoring the strong connections that span generations of the Pack.
October: Red and White Week
Red and White Week was especially meaningful as we celebrated Chancellor Woodson’s final year leading this cherished tradition, reflecting on his impactful leadership.
Throughout the Year: Caldwell Fellows
The Caldwell Fellows welcomed 30 members to the Class of 2027, and together the program explored far and wide. Fellows volunteered with local nonprofit partners through the Sophomore Service-Learning Seminar, and the Class of 2026 furthered their development through a three-day leadership intensive at the Center for Creative Leadership in Greensboro, N.C.
November: Pantry Bowl
We also came out on top in the Pantry Bowl, surpassing UNC in a friendly competition to fight food insecurity. Together, both schools raised an inspiring $179,000, making a real difference in their communities.
Thank you to every member of the Pack that made this year so amazing! It’s been a year of milestones and moments that demonstrate the strength and generosity of the Wolfpack family. We are looking forward to all that 2025 has in store!
