What Makes This a Game Day Winner?

This chili has been simmering in the Carter-Finley lots since the Philip Rivers days. It travels well in a slow cooker, feeds a crowd, and the red and white beans are non-negotiable.

Ingredients

  • 2 pound(s) ground beef
  • 1 whole yellow onion, diced
  • 3 clove(s) garlic, minced
  • can(s) diced tomatoes (14.5 oz each)
  • 1 can(s) white beans, drained
  • tablespoon(s) chili powder

Instructions

Step 1: Brown the ground beef in a large pot over medium-high heat, about 8 minutes. Drain excess fat.
Step 2: Add the onion and garlic and cook until soft, about 5 minutes.
Step 3: Stir in the diced tomatoes, white beans, and chili powder. Bring to a boil.
Step 4: Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
