Kyndra Anderson, a native of Temple Hills, Maryland, has built a successful career in public service and leadership. She earned her degree in Criminology with a minor in Military Studies from North Carolina State University (NCSU) in 2014. During her time at NCSU, she became involved in the Air Force ROTC Detachment 595 and interned at the Wake County District Attorney’s office, which solidified her passion for public service.
After graduation, Kyndra joined the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Recent Graduate Program as an Assistant Personnel Security Specialist at Fort Meade, contributing to the creation of over 2,000 security clearance packages. By 2018, she became an adjudicator and earned multiple certifications, including the Adjudicator Professional Certification (APC) and Due Process Certification (DPC) from the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency.
By 2021, Kyndra became a subject matter expert in adjudications, working on specialized projects and collaborating with global security managers. Her commitment to professional growth and passion for personnel security and talent acquisition led her to earn a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Security Leadership in 2024. Currently, she serves as a Branch Technical Lead for personnel security, reviewing complex cases and helping to develop future adjudicators.
As a former NCSU cheerleader, Kyndra maintains strong ties with her alma mater, staying actively involved in the Alumni Association and Young Alumni Council. Her journey reflects her dedication to public service, lifelong learning, and community engagement.
