Kaitlyn Gainey is grateful for the opportunity to serve NC State University and its alumni because NC State has had a profound impact on her, truly shaping her into who she is personally, academically and professionally. She has had so many tremendous experiences and opportunities that have motivated her to want to serve the NC State community. With the strength of the NC State Alumni network and how it has influenced her, she wants to help preserve this strength for future generations of students.

The alumni of NC State hold tremendous power in influencing the trajectory of the lives of students, preserving traditions and continuing the growth of the university, and, for Gainey, serving in this capacity allows her to help ensure that this remains true. Serving NC State and NC State Alumni is Gainey’s way of honoring what NC State has provided for and poured into her during her time. Ultimately, she says service to the university and its alumni is a reflection of her gratitude and commitment to ensuring that the strength of the Wolfpack community only continues to grow and thrive.
