Demarcus Williams serves NC State because the university shaped his life in ways that continue to guide his career, his leadership and his commitment to community. As a second-generation professional in higher education, he’s seen firsthand how transformative a strong alumni network can be, not only for students but also for the institutions and communities they eventually lead.

NC State gave Williams the foundation to think boldly, solve problems creatively and live out the “Think and Do” spirit in every space he occupies, from higher education to entrepreneurship to ministry. Giving back, whether through service, mentorship or philanthropy, is his way of honoring that impact and helping ensure the next generation has access to the same opportunities.

Williams believes alumni have a decisive role in shaping the value, visibility and vitality of their alma mater, especially in today’s rapidly changing higher education landscape. Serving as a member of the NC State Alumni Board of Directors is something he views as both a privilege and a responsibility, and he’s committed to using his experience to strengthen engagement, build trust and elevate the Wolfpack community.
