NC State Alumni Branding
The NC State Alumni Association has undergone a brand refresh and is now recognized as NC State Alumni. This follows the university’s recent brand refresh. All existing assets, including web, print and social media, are being updated and phased in.
Changes to note:
- The dropping of “Association” from our name. This follows the elimination of alumni lifetime membership dues. All alumni are members.
- The retirement of our wolf head logo.
- Our new logo moves to use the official NC State brick logo with “Alumni” as the unit descriptor. This aligns with other units across the university to create a consistent identity.

Why the change?
Students spend years surrounded by the NC State brand — visually, verbally and experientially. By maintaining a consistent look across the university, we honor that familiarity and help carry their sense of belonging forward as they become alumni. This continuity reinforces their identity as members of the Pack for life.
When the visual identity they saw as students mirrors what they experience as alumni, it strengthens brand recognition, builds trust and creates a cohesive experience that supports long-term engagement.
