Pack House Farm

Alumni-owned and Pack-backed

A business logo for Pack House Farm, owned by NC State alumnus Beth Farrell '02.

Pack House Farm offers a pick-your-own berry patch and a connection to agriculture.

History: Owner Beth grew up with her hands in the dirt in Piney Creek, N.C. She came to Raleigh to attend NC State with every intention of going home to farm – she never made it back up the mountain. Kevin spent hours roaming the family farm and selling produce at local farmers’ markets with his grandparents. After studying business at NC State, he met Beth. On their first date, he told her he would never live any further from Jordan Lake than Turlington Hall at NC State – and he hasn’t.

For several years, Beth and Kevin had a dream of turning the field behind his grandparents’ old tobacco pack house into a farm. In 2016, this dream turned to reality by planting a few rows of blueberries, and Pack House Farm was born.
