Friday Welcome Event
Our Friday evening welcome gathering in Louisville will feature a Bourbon 101 event including novice bourbon education with tastings, flavor pairings, and a Q&A session.
We are thrilled that our Bourbon 101 event is scheduled to be conducted by Tim Knittel. Tim is a Kentucky bourbon industry insider with more than 10 years experience in bourbon education. He is also a certified Stave & Thief Society Executive Bourbon Steward (often compared to a Bourbon Sommelier), which is the highest classification available for a professional bourbon educator. Some of Tim’s other roles include being the the Bourbon-Steward-In-Residence at The Kentucky Castle and an Adjunct Professor at Midway University.
Saturday Rural Bourbon Experience
We will visit multiple historic distilleries on this guided tour, all located in the scenic Kentucky countryside. Walking in the footsteps of generations of master distillers, we will be escorted through the long, renowned journey of bourbon. Lunch is included at one of our stops.
Sunday Urban Bourbon Experience
This includes an all-access pass to Louisville’s most unique distillery – Angel’s Envy. At Angel’s Envy we get to enjoy a tailored behind-the-scenes tour just for our group, the “Inside the Barrel Tour.” We also have a unique opportunity to learn from a master mixologist at a private cocktail class. After a drink of your choice, we will mingle to enjoy limited-batch tastings, small plate pairings, and live entertainment.
